How do I transcribe an audio or video file?
Open Transcribe a file, drop in an audio or video file of up to 25 MB and 10 minutes, and download the transcript as text, SRT or VTT. It costs 200 credits per minute of audio, and the language is detected automatically.
Which files work?
- Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC, OPUS, AAC, WMA and WebM.
- Video: MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WMV, WebM, TS and MTS.
The limits are 25 MB and 600 seconds (10 minutes) per file. For a longer recording, split it or export the audio only from a video.
Ne kadar tutuyor?
200 credits per minute of audio, which is 12,000 credits for an hour. Your 2,000 free signup credits cover 10 minutes, and the 250 daily free credits cover 1.25 minutes.
Developers can call the same engine at POST /api/transcribe or the OpenAI-compatible POST /v1/audio/transcriptions. See How do I get an API key and make my first call?
Why was my file rejected?
- Over 25 MB: trim or compress it.
- Longer than 10 minutes: the error reads clip_too_long. Split the recording.
- No speech detected, or audio too short: the file has nothing to transcribe.
- Not audio or video: the file type is refused.
