What uses my credits?

Audexum1 мин

In Audexum, generating speech, transcribing audio, dictating, dubbing, audiobooks and batch jobs all spend credits from the same balance. YouTube transcripts and checking your balance are free.

What spends credits?

  • Speech in Studio, the API and MCP: characters times the engine multiplier. See How do credits work?
  • Audiobooks and Batch: the same per-character rate for the engine you pick.
  • Transcribing a file and dictation: 200 credits a minute.
  • Dubbing: 1,800 credits a minute of output.

Speech is charged after the audio is returned, so a request that fails before that point does not use credits.

What is free?

  • YouTube transcripts from a video's own captions: 1 a day without an account, 25 a day with a free account.
  • Voice and balance lookups, such as the voice list and your account status.
  • Acting tags like <laugh> or <short pause>: they are never billed, on any engine.

How do I see my balance?

Open the usage tab of your dashboard to see what you have used and what is left. Studio shows the cost of a generation before you press Generate.

If you connect Audexum to an AI assistant, it can check your balance for you. See What is the Audexum MCP server?
